Panda bear bento box and vegetable cutter review and giveaway from BentoUSA

Anyone who knows me well knows how much fun I think bento making is. I like variety in my food and so do my kids.  I have a ton of options through Bento USA located right here in San Francisco.   They have (in my opinion) the best selection of bento tools and fun accessories available anywhere.  Their pricing is competitive, shipping is fair and their customer service is wonderful.

Bento USA (All Things For Sale) has graciously agreed to give away 1 two tiered panda bento box

Here’s what I did with my version.

Panda quinoa stir fry by bentorifficI packed some leftovers from last night’s dinner.  The base is quinoa, a gluten free “grain” (actually a seed) that is a complete protein with stir fried vegetables on top.  I used the veggie cutters for my locally grown carrots for the eyes and nose, a red pepper for the mouth and sugar snap peas and shiitake mushrooms for the ears and top of his head.  Not too complicated and only the simple vegetable cutters were used.  I like them because it saves from peeling some veggies like cucumbers and carrots.  Instead just slice and punch out.

Panda with fruit by bentoriffic

I saved some of the raw carrot flowers from dinner to pack in with the fruit snack in the 2nd tier of the panda bento box.

Panda bento box packedHere’s the panda packed, banded and ready to go.  It stores a lot of food in a small space.  I included some dried cranberries in the small, green panda sauce container as well as some gomasio seasoning (sea salt mixed with sesame seeds) for sprinkling in the small panda container.

NOW for the fun part.  How to WIN!

Bento USA ships anywhere in the WORLD! Yay!  Contest is open to everyone.  Contest will run through next Thursday, September 12, 2013 at midnight.  Winner will have 48 hours to respond or a new winner will be chosen.  Good luck!

I honestly could not choose just one thing from this website! I have bought a number of products and love them all! And I have a lot more written down for when I have a few extra bucks to spend on some more fun items for the kiddos! I really do like all the different shapes, etc. for veggie cutters and sandwich cutting.

That box is so cute and I love how you recreated a face inside it with the food. My favorite item is the LEGO style bento box though I admit I haven’t decided which color I like best.

I love all the tools to make a happy lunch!! The panda designs are my favorite thought. Pandas were my school mascot in junior high school, high school and even my sorority! They have always been a good luck charm and a fast cheer me up character :).

I love the vegetable cutters. Dealing with a picky toddler with a severely limited diet due to severe allergies, who has gone through food refusal and is Failure To Thrive we do everything possible to get her to eat, and eat healthy safe foods!

Everything here is so adorable! I can’t pick a favorite item because I don’t even have bento supplies of my own… but I have a collection of stuffed pandas from my childhood and I think this bento giveaway set is perfectly inspirational to start making bento lunches. :D
