It’s is Art Appreciation week at Miss A’s school. She just turned 3, but it’s never too early for art appreciation in my opinion. Who doesn’t love paintings, colors and getting messy with art? I like her art best because her teacher this year lets her do her own thing. She gets very little help on her projects, and I love them because I know she did them. Thanks, Miss Marcy!
My friend and I were talking on the phone when this idea popped into my head for a bento box. So for lunch I decided to carry the Mickey Mouse theme over from last weekend and try my lunch interpretation of Andy Warhol’s Mickey Mouse artwork. He had many versions of Mickey. Below is the one most have probably seen.
And here’s what Miss A had in her LunchBots Uno .
Mini sandwiches of Mickey’s face are on Rudi’s whole wheat bread and Pepperidge Farms Dark Wheat bread. I found the Mickey cutters on eBay a while back since my girls are Mickey fans. The fruits and veggies are carefully stacked underneath the sandwiches. From the top left underneath are blueberries, kiwi slices (with an extra piece of bread to keep sandwich from getting soggy, sugar snap peas and strawberry slices under the bottom left Mickey.
With a little help from some editing…my own lunchy Warhol.
Happy Lunch Packing!
