Stamped mini sandwiches

Last week was just one of those weeks.  Despite the gorgeous weather, we had a number of power outages, failed internet and my Instagram update locked my iPhone (which is still not working!).  Ah well, I’m sure you managed to make lunch without me!  Hoping everyone had a fantastic, low key mother’s day.

Miss G, my 5 year old, asks for the same thing almost every single day.  She LOVES sandwiches so I try to provide some variety.

Bentoriffic Four Square girly lunchThese mini sandwiches are on whole wheat and dark whole wheat bread and just stamped with a bear and flower on each one.  I found these fun, poofy girly picks in the Target party section, and I figured my two would love them.  I used them to thread blueberries and raspberries.  Above in her Easy Lunchboxes container are mini carrots and strawberry hearts with flower picks.

Macadamias and fruit

For snack time in her Happy Tiffin, Miss G has macadamia nuts, a mandarin orange, grape tomatoes and raspberries.

Bentoriffic's Hello Kitty Bunny

Miss A had some mini squares too with Hello Kitty stamps on dark whole wheat.  She also has macadamia nuts in the Hello Kitty rabbit container.  In the silicone cups are mini carrots, strawberry  hearts and raspberries in her LunchBots stainless container.

Waffle flowers and a smiley face

I promise I’ve been feeding my kids even though I haven’t posted in a few days.  Sometimes life gets in the way of blogging.  Van’s mini waffles saved the day this week.  I toast them & make mini sandwiches out of them.   Miss G (5 years old) has 3 waffle flower sandwiches.  Hers are Continue Reading »

The moon and stars pops

My 3 year old is studying the solar system this week so I decided to include some stars in today’s lunches.  I also have an Instagram follower in Tunisia who adores stars so I try to include them for fun for her every now & then. Above is Miss G’s lunch (5 years old).  I Continue Reading »

Panda bear bento boxes

Getting a new package full of bento supplies is better than Christmas gifts for me.  I know there won’t be any returns and my kids get just as excited as I do.  I found a new tool through my favorite bento store Bento USA by AllThingsForSale.  Since my girls are still preschoolers, they adore bite sized Continue Reading »

Spring Flowers and flutterby bentos

It dumped rain all day yesterday, and the forecast is the same for today.  That kind of weather makes me want to crawl back in bed and pull the covers over my head.  I know we need the rain, but it definitely makes me less motivated to do things. I have a newer cookie cutter Continue Reading »
